KII에서 AP를??

AP는 Advanced Placement의 약자로서 미국 컬리지보드에서 주관하는 대학에 준하는 고등학교 과정입니다. 영국의 A레벨, 국제자격인 IB와 보통 같은 자격으로 인정이 됩니다. 과목의 구분을 살펴보도록 하겠습니다. 

큰 그룹으로는 AP Capstone Diploma Program에 AP Research, AP Seminar 가 들어있습니다. 보통 이들과목은 AP의 이수과목으로 인정을 받지는 못 합니다. 

다음으로 Arts에는 AP Art and Design Program, Art History, Music Theory가 있습니다. 다음으로 English 는 English Language and Composition과 English Language and Composition이 있습니다. History and Social Sciences에는 Comparative Government and Politics, European History, Human Geography, Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Psychology, United States Government and Politics, United States History, Worl History: Mordern 이렇게 구성되어 있습니다. 

다음은Math & Computer Science그룹입니다. Calculus AB, BC, Computer Science A, Principles, Statistics가 있으며, Sciences 그룹에는 Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Physics1, 2: Algebra-Based, Physics C의 Electricity and Magnetism, Mechanincs로 구성되어 있습니다. 

다음은 World Language and Cultures 그룹으로 Chinese Language and Culture, French Language and Culture, Germen Language and Culture, Italian Language and Culture, Japanese Language and Culture, Latin, Spanish Language and Culture, Spanish Literature and Culture 이렇게 구성되어 있습니다. 
이렇게 총 36개의 과목이 있으며, 각 대학별로 요구사항을 파악한 후에 준비를 할 수 있습니다. 사실상 저희 주력인 영국 A레벨과 같습니다. A레벨의 범위가 조금 더 넓은 편이며, 같은 과목이라 하더라도 일부 과목은 AP가 A레벨에서 다루지 않는 분야를 다룹니다. 이 부분은 모두 재학 중에 커버가 가능합니다. 

현재 저희 개설된 A레벨을 이수하면서 같이 준비가 가능한 과목들은 Macroeconimcis, Microeconomcis, Calculus AB, BC, Biology, Chemistry, Physics 4개 전체가 되겠습니다. 

올해 저희가 컬리지보드에 등록이 되어, AP의 시험진행은 2023년에 가능합니다. 더욱 다양한 과목으로 늘려서 더욱 다양한 기회를 학생들에게 제공해 주도록 해 보겠습니다.
